X Amount Of Years

An autobiographical exploration of textiles narratives and information trapped within fabrics and fibres

Started in 2000 as a handmade patchwork quilt to never be finished

Every square is linked to a moment of the past

Manically made, with little skill or technique. The ritual of attaching one square to another as a coping mechanism, a process of grieving, a way of feeling productive, of doing, of compensating

Small sections are completed on journeys and then added together

It currently measures 3 x 3 metres
