The SENsory Museum of the Future

An installation imagining a garden shed as a Museum of the Future

The project formed part of a new toolkit, written by artist Benjamin Rostance, as a recommendation for workshop providers and participants in how to develop accessible and inclusive workshops for the future

1525 SENsory Museum Inclusivity Toolkit - Nottingham Contemporary

Workshops are developed and then delivered by artists Benjamin Rostance and Becky Greensides, with staff and young people at Space Inclusive.

Inspired by Nottingham Contemporary’s exhibition Our Silver City, multi sensory workshops explored themes including sci-fi, fantasy, survival and care. Fabric is printed with food and textures associated with the future. Essential oils are chosen for their healing properties, as a printmaking tool and to create a holistic space. Participants co-curated the space as a site for reflection and well being centred installation at the bottom of the garden
