Meet The Artists
Exhibition at The Stables Gallery, Orleans House Gallery, Richmond upon Thames
Sharing the practices and approaches of the pool of artist educators who work across the education programme at the gallery
Charlotte Tupper employs an autobiographical approach, with artworks presented as a data collector and as a record of her existence
‘Every door of every house ever lived in’ is a monoprint of doors Charlotte has lived in throughout her life
‘March 2009’ is a diary printed onto strips of coloured paper and wrapped into a ball. Taut yet fragile, with only snippets available to read, the artwork is reminiscent of a stress ball
‘X amount of years’ is an ongoing patchwork quilt, started in 2000. Every square has its own story, its narrative trapped within the fibres as its frantically attached to another piece. It remains unfinished
